Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad is a Renowned Bangladeshi economist and development thinker and activist. He is currently the chairman of Dhaka School of Economics (DScE), a constituent institution of the University of Dhaka, devoted to post-graduate studies in economics and related subjects. He is also the chairman of the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). He received the highest national civilian award Independence Award 2019; and Ekushe Padak 2009, presented by the Government of Bangladesh.

Kaberi Maitraya With Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud . His current position is as an economist from Bangladesh. He is currently a member of the UN Committee for Development Policy (UN-CDP), Chairman of the South Asian Network of Economic Research Institutes (SANEI), and Senior Advisor to the International Growth Centre’s research programme in Bangladesh. He has held teaching and research appointments at Cambridge, IDS at Sussex, World Bank, UNDP, and ILO. He had worked with International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as a senior consultant. Dr Mahmud’s involvement in national policymaking has been quite extensive. Together with Nobel peace prize winner Muhammad Yunus, he co-founded and was chairman (2003-13) of the Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), which is an apex institution for funding the microfinance programmes of MFI/NGOs in Bangladesh. He is also the founder-chairman of the Institute of Microfinance (InM), a sister organization of PKSF. He has published on a wide range of topics in economic development and economic policy perspective. He was in charge of the Ministry of Finance and Planning in the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh in 1996. Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud obtained his PhD in economics from Cambridge University and was a Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka. He was a Former member of the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh in charge of the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
Kaberi Maitraya With Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin. He is a Bangladeshi economist who served as the seventh Governor of Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh. He served during 1998–2001. He is the founder of East West University (EWU) where he was the founding vice-chancellor during 1995-1998. He is currently the chairperson of the board of trustees of the university. Farashuddin also served as the private secretary to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from 1973 to 1975.

Kaberi Maitraya with Jamal Uddin Ahmad, who was chairman of Janata Bank, ex director of Bangladesh bank, who is a Bangladeshi politician and accountant. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 1977 until 1982. He also served as the former President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, as well as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh for two terms.

Dr. Islam graduated with an MBBS from Rangpur Medical College in 1984 and a post-graduate diploma in nuclear medicine (DNM) from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He was the Head of Department of Nuclear Medicine at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital until his retirement in 2020. Dr. Islam is popularly known for his role as one of the recurring characters in Humayun Ahmed’s television drama series.
